The theroy is one of expansion and subduction, where tectonic plates are 'pushed' away by new land matter creation at the expansion zones (Mid-Atlantic Ridge), and land matter is 'pulled under' or subducted.

Scientists still have very few examples of subduction zones, and they cannot account for:

(a) There being more mass created at the expansion zones than are being destroyed at the subduction zone.
(b) Why/how the lithosphere subducts (submerges) into magma whose density is twice that of solid granite.

(Below is a paraphrased excerpt from Meyl's book on Scalar Waves)

The growing globe

Those who don't want to believe that the earth becomes bigger, should look at modern maps of the oceans, on which the topography of the ocean floor is shown. According to the theory of Alfred Wegener concerning the continental drift North and South America on the one hand and Europe with Africa on the other hand steadily drift apart since 200 million years. The result can be read at the atlantic ocean floor. The gaping, chequered rift zones to the right and left of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge show how the earth is torn apart.

Model of expansion
Geographers assume that at another point to the same extent continental plates are
subducted and molten. That thus has to happen in the Pacific Ocean. But the sea maps tell one just the opposite (fig. 11.2). At the ocean floor of the Pacific Ocean the same rift formations are found as in the Atlantic Ocean.

That means that America drifts away from Australia and Asia exactly as from Europe, without being crushed or molten in doing so! The only possible answer thus is: The earth grows.
The characteristic rift zones in addition are found around the Antarctic. From this the conclusion can be drawn that the 7th continent slowly is moving away, while the biggest habitable mass of land predominantly stays behind on the northern hemisphere, by Eurasia and North America forming a clip around the North Pole.
Concerning the evolution of the earth there are and were numerous approaches in various directions. Paul Dirac at his time postulated, the brightness of the sun should decrease as a result of a decrease of the gravitational constant as well. In contrast to that Astrophysicists today observe just the opposite (Ingersoll 1987). According to the hypothesis of Carey energy will transform in matter in the universe. According to the idea of Oesterle aether particles are absorbed, which make our globe grow. Also other
research scientists share the idea of the growth of the earth with him in their reports. As a geologist Oesterle cites his colleague Herzig, at the Mid-Oceanic Ridge
newly produced oceanic crust has to be consumed again at other points, because otherwise the earth would expand" and criticizes the "plate tectonicians" that they would postulate their model without physical grounds.

He gives some arguments for the correctness of the model of expansion <iii>:
a) Subduction: The already discussed missing of zones of subduction and of melting of
continental plates to the assumed extent.
b) Paleomagnetism: errors and mistakes in the hypothesis of the migration of the poles.
c) Continental depth drillings: They brought much higher temperatures in depths from
4000 meters, as expected and calculated according to models.
d) Stand of the sea water: Only if the water can spread in newly forming oceanic basins it can be explained, why the covering with water on earth continually is going back.

Here is a derevation:

My take

This is very very interesting indeed! It implies that over 200 million years ago there were no oceans...just shallow seas, which if true debunks the theory that life originated in the oceans.

If this is true, then there is no need to distort the continents, and twist the plates they sit on around in order to fit them together on the pangeal land mass which floated around in one vast ocean.

I leave you with this:

</iii>

No Sex Tonight?

Not getting any tonight? stock was at $80. I was also thinking how it would be quite wise if someone put all the money from their savings account into apple stock. I was well aware then, that the iPhone (the day its released) would change the mobile phone landscape as we know it.

That day was today. While I was looking for a convenient dip to get into the stock for the past week, it just took off on me today with the announcement of the new iPhone. No looking back now for Apple. I predict it will reach 100 in the next couple of weeks.

I'm quite disgusted with myself at the moment about not following my own advice, and for heeding others' words too closely. Here are a couple of popular theories that might be your answer to the question: How did AIDS originate?

It is widely agreed upon that HIV has its origins in SIV (Simian Immunodeficiency Virus) which is prevalent in Chimpazees. So we just need to theorize how SIV jumped from chimps to humans.

Cut Hunter Theory
Tribes in Africa have been known to hunt chimpanzees for meat. On one such hunt, a hunter or group of hunters were injured while cutting chimpanzee meat which led to chimpanzee blood to mix with their own, and thus they were infected.

Perverted Hunter Theory
One hunter, from the group above, disobeyed all laws of human attraction, and had sex with a chimp hottie who happenned to be infected with SIV...ironically a hard-on isn't all he got.

Before we dive into the analysis of the above:
1. AIDS is fairly recent. The first case was noted the 1959.
2. HIV wasn't isolated until much later.
3. SIV has been around for much much longer, and humans and Chimpanzees have lived around each other for 10s of thousands of years.

While the above theories are plausible, it cannot by any stretch of the imagination explain how HIV is prevalent worldwide with 40 million people infected. Mathematically and probabilistically we cannot arrive at a reasonable progression which can lead us from a few infected in the late 1950s in Africa, to 40 million infected today in every corner of the globe.

Oral Polio Vaccine Theory
In the 50s Polio was the scourge of humanity and every researcher in the field was racing to find the vaccine that would save the world. Hilary Koprowski was one of these scientists. He worked at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, and was banned from doing further polio research because he tested his vaccine on school kids in NY (which led to serious sideeffects). This did not stop the man. He teamed up with some Belgian scientists and went to the Belgian Congo (Zaire), and continued his research with plentiful servile human lab subjects.

A brief primer on vaccine preparation at the time -
Kidney cells are taken from lower monkeys (Macaques usually), and are cultured in blood serum (also from the monkey), so they they remain a living mass of cells. The polio (or any other virus for that matter), is introduced into this tissue substrate, and it proceeds to infect and multiply amongst the living cells. This infected tissue is then attenuated (weakened) and the result is an Attenuated Live Vaccine (for the virus that you introduced into the substrate). Sadly, with all the improvements in biotechnology, the way vaccines are made today isn't much different from the process described above.

Koprowski discovered that he could manufacture vaccines in large quantities by capturing local chimpanzees from the sourrounding forests, and use their kidneys to make the tissue substrate. He proceeded to set up a huge facility in Leopoldville where chimps were systemetically captured and killed to make tissue substrate. This was far easier and cheaper than importing macaque monkeys from India or the Philippines. Sadly for humanity, these chimpanzees were infected with SIV (SIV in chimps is harmless, they natuarally develop antibodies, and successfully cure themselves of SIV).

In 1958, 1.8 million people were vaccinated with Koprowski's polio vaccine in and around Leopoldville. A few years later, the first cases of AIDS were discovered, in and around the exact spots where the vaccinations had taken place.

The above is a paraphrased summary of the book called "The River" by Edward Hooper which was subsequently made into a highly controversial documenraty movie called The Origins of AIDS. What I've mentioned above is backed up by evidence in the form of written accounts, archival video tape, taped interviews with Koprowski's colleagues and subordinates, interviews with the locals who worked in the labs, and interviews with Chimpanzee hunters who were employed by these labs.

What I'm about to dive into now is unsubstantiated. It is speculation, and remains to be proven.

Koprowski had struck the goldmine of vaccine production with the chimpanzee tissue substrate mechanism. He communicates with Wistar and Wistar starts producing vaccines with Koprowski's substrates. One such vaccine they work on is the Hepatitis C vaccine. In the late 70s massive TV campaigns are run informing the public about the dangers of Hepatitis C emphasising that the gay community is particularly suceptible. Several vaccination clinics are conducted, and thus AIDS starts in the US, as a gay man's disease in Philadelphia.

Empty (Aug 20, 2005)

360 degrees and its full circle..same as it ever was...

You're oriented 72 clockwise, and I'm 120 and change, anti..or maybe a 236 or a 28...

Ppl ought to walk around sporting this holographic plate....like a sharks fin, protruding 4 feet in front of them along the plane of projection of their being...a natural compatibility seive; if darwin was right, we shd be growning these anytime now...

Irony (Aug 14, 2005)

They say that when death stares you in the face, life makes complete sense and the veils that obscure day-to-day perspectives and priorities, get lifted. Atmosphere was festive amidst the acrid smoke and beer breath, and when the first band started we (The Disappearing J's minus RK) were beginning to think that maybe we might be out of or league.

We started as 2 guys playing acoustic guitars. We finished as a band of 8 (drummer, sax, keyboards, congas, bass, and our very own off stage freak!) and I instantly know that everyone loved us. Come to think of it, they didn't have a choice, and heres why:

A man is a walking, talking, singing, guitar playing exponent of his experiences and visions. And we brought to the 27617 zip code, ideas, sceneries, and sounds imbibed from lands and seas far far away. I don't realize this but we were as conspicuous as a crow in the arctic snow, and our music was seemingly, the colour, in a world of shadows.

Change and variety is the fertilizer for the seedling that is the human mind, and tonight it was our turn to live and let live.

Ok, Maggi beckons.

Hello World (June 18, 2005)

I've always thought of my life as a open book, but one that seems to be out of circulation more often than not. And here I am, suddenly...with packets of time I don't know what to do with. Surely it can be spent doing other productive things. Sure, but reading blogs (even random ones), has been a pastime of late, and I've decided to give back from whence I take. I'd also like to thank some power bloggers I know.

Ok, now that I've announced my arrival to the world - getting down to business. Once again I find my self with this (barely) controllable urge to spend money! If my memory serves me right, it was almost the same time last month when I felt this very thing. Interesting - a sine wave of spending urges peaking right around payday. Is this a documented phenomenon? Are young suburbanites predestined to this sort of thing, out of a lacking in urban stimulus? One thing is for sure - money spent does map in an obscure esoteric way to happiness (once you've gone thru the laplace transform, convert to oil, negate it and take the square root).

Blasts From the Past

Tis my new year's resolution next year to blog.
