2 Minutes of Fame (July 29, 2005)

Just returned from playing at Crowley's and I couldn't have imagined to have had a better time. Atmosphere was festive amidst the acrid smoke and beer breath, and when the first band started we (The Disappearing J's minus RK) were beginning to think that maybe we might be out of or league.
We started as 2 guys playing acoustic guitars. We finished as a band of 8 (drummer, sax, keyboards, congas, bass, and our very own off stage freak!) and I instantly know that everyone loved us. Come to think of it, they didn't have a choice, and heres why:
A man is a walking, talking, singing, guitar playing exponent of his experiences and visions. And we brought to the 27617 zip code, ideas, sceneries, and sounds imbibed from lands and seas far far away. I don't realize this but we were as conspicuous as a crow in the arctic snow, and our music was seemingly, the colour, in a world of shadows.
Change and variety is the fertilizer for the seedling that is the human mind, and tonight it was our turn to live and let live.
Ok, Maggi beckons.
